Which crops are gaining ground?

Which crops cover more or less land than in 2019?

Compare crop-group area with 2019 and see which changes are largest nationally and in your municipality.

How it is calculated

For each crop group, allocated area in 2019 is subtracted from area in the selected year. Positive values are gains and negative values are losses. This compares aggregate area, not the same physical fields through time.

marker-municipality-story-snapshot-v1 · 2026-08-02 · 2026-08-30

Declared field area is allocated to municipalities. Crop codes are grouped with the reviewed openlanddata taxonomy.

What to keep in mind

  • Year differences are aggregate area changes and do not document rotation on individual fields.
  • Reporting or taxonomy changes can affect the comparison.
  • A fall in area does not necessarily mean production fell by the same amount.
